Celebrate the incredible milestone of 40 births with this hand-lettered agate keepsake, the perfect gift for a student midwife. I have made these agate keepsakes to give as a gift to a midwife to be - or to treat yourself.

Each natural agate slice is unique, featuring its own distinct banding and beautiful, natural imperfections - a perfect reflection of the unique journey of every birth you support. I hand-letter each stone using a gold oil-based pen.

Personalisation:
If you would like the date of your milestone added to the back of the stone in the same gold pen, please let me know in the box at checkout!

I was informed by the crystal seller that this agate is ethically sourced. But you never really know what that means unless you are close with the importer directly - so I am sorry to Mother Earth if these stones weren't taken out of the ground with love. I will cleanse each one before sending it out, infusing them with loving intentions so it feels respected now at least. I believe crystals want to support us when they are loved and respected, and I hope this piece supports you throughout your career.

Delivered for free in the UK, wrapped with love in tissue with bonus freebies.

Important Safety Information:
Please note that these are natural, fragile, and breakable items. They are intended for decorative use and are not suitable for children.

I also printed out a little note to go with it that says:

Each token comes with a special keepsake card:
"Congratulations 40 Births. As a stone of grounding and strength, may this agate keepsake be a reminder of your incredible dedication, courage - and the light and love you bring to the world with every birth you support in your career as a midwife."

If you'd like a bigger card with space to write a message, I have created a 40 births greetings card too.

What is a good gift for a student midwife reaching their 40 catches?

A personalised, handmade keepsake -like an agate stone with gold lettering - is a thoughtful and meaningful gift that honours the dedication required to reach this milestone in midwifery training.

What does 40 catches mean in midwifery?

Student midwives in the UK are required to attend and participate in a minimum of 40 vaginal births as part of their NMC training requirements. Reaching 40 catches is a significant milestone on the road to qualification.

Is this suitable as a gift or just for yourself?

Many students choose to purchase or receive a small, tactile token to commemorate their 40th birth, marking the transition from novice to a more experienced student practitioner.

Does it come with a card?

Yes, I include a little card with every token. If you'd like a bigger card with space to write your own message, you can add on an A6 or A7 greetings card with my 40 births illustration and envelope.
