Many student midwives like to give a gift to the baby and family of their 40th birth, so I have made these handmade clay keepsakes to give to the family who were part of your 40th birth.
I drew the illustration of a newborn baby with placenta and designed the stamp design, and had it 3D printed so I could stamp into clay. Once dried and varnished, I applied gold leaf to the edges and attached a cork disc to the bottom of the plaque.
The keepsake plaque measures 8cm wide and a few mm thick. Each will be slightly different as they are handmade. A natural cork disc is attached to the base, so the plaque can sit flat on a shelf or surface without scratching. The warm cork against the gold edge gives it a nice finished look.
Delivered free in the UK, wrapped with love in tissue with bonus freebies.
I also made a little card to go with it that says:
Today you made me a Midwife
Thank you for being my 40th birth, and helping to make me a midwife.
If you'd like a bigger card with space to write a message, I have created 5 designs of postcard with envelope that either say 'I made a midwife' or 'Thank you for making me a midwife.
