I made these silver moon medallions as a quiet, tangible keepsake for menarche and first period gift sets - a gentle symbol to mark cyclical transitions and honouring a young girl's first bleed.
Each one is mouded by hand at my kitchen table from clay, turned daily to dry slowly, and sanded before painting shimmery ivory. I apply silver gilding leaf across the face and edges, let it cure, and seal both sides with a protective varnish so the sheen stays bright.
They're finished with a sturdy natural cotton cord, ready to hang in a bedroom or keep in a sacred space.
Details
- Handmade by me: Moulded, sanded, hand-painted, gilded, and sealed in small batches at home.
- Variations: Classic silver with an ivory back, or the cosmic version with a dark starry border
- Ready to hang: Threaded with thick braided cotton cord.
- Made for: Menarche gift boxes, ceremonial keepsakes, or hanging in a quiet corner.
Since every single moon is made and gilded by hand, no two are identical - each has its own subtle textures and character. Please let me know in the checkout if you'd like a particular one.
Delivered for free in the UK, wrapped with love in tissue with bonus freebies.
