Postpartum Chakras Print

An A3 250gsm poster print of my original watercolour painting of my magical postpartum body.

During birth our energy field changes into an hourglass shape: opening wide at the crown to connect us to our divine power, and universal consciousness - and opening wide at the root to connect us to the Earth, our ancestry, and our sense of belonging and safety. We are held and loved by our connection to the Earth, and supported and guided by the Universe.

When we’re ‘coming down’ from this cosmic act of power, we can help all our systems replenish, recover and recalibrate, by helping the energetic body with closing these energy centres. If we don’t we can feel more vulnerable and exposed during our postpartum than we would otherwise.

Meditating on, and visualising, your energy field closing around you helps to reconnect with our own sense of personal identity and wholeness. We can nurture our energy, and our baby’s too, with chakra balancing, postnatal yoga, crystal healing, chanting, energy healing, acupuncture, and breathwork.
