Shortly after starting to work with a sacred intimacy mentor and learning about the chakras, I was doing a meditation and visualising my sacral chakra glowing all lovely and orange - when it occurred to me that my unborn baby would have her own tiny orange chakra too (although unattached at that stage). And it helped me to feel really connected to her in that moment - thinking that as I nurtured and balanced my energy, hers too would be affected.

"The journey through the chakras is the journey that each individual takes to discover this knowledge of themselves and find true balance and wholeness. Nowhere is this journey more apparent than during pregnancy as a new being manifests in your body and is brought into the physical realm through the multidimensional initiation of childbirth."

I did some research about when/how it is believed that chakras develop in the womb, and when children's energy centres become independent. I believe that she shares my energy until her own chakras attach, which is nice because it means I have the potential to help us both. "The developing fetus at this stage is so attached with the life force energy that the chakras are united together under one energy field i.e. at unanimity with the universe."

I think now after birth she continues to share my energy, and it will only be at the point where she can see herself as a separate being, that she will begin to develop her own independent chakra energy field. And even after that I can help my children through co-regulation. "The child is still attached to her caregiver through an etheric energetic connection. When she curls up in the lap of her mother or father, she’s protecting herself from these outside influences by being in the energy field of her parent." They will always be part of me.
