An A3 250gsm poster print of my watercolour painting portraying the way our energy field and chakra centres change during birth. I painted this for my own birth space, as it was a huge part of my healing birth preparation to focus on how I was supported by the Universe, and held by Mother Earth during birth.
Inspired by how the energy field changes for birth - opening at the crown and root into an hourglass shape to draw cosmic energy down to bring life to earth.
"The upper centres, which connect us to universal energy, become open and receptive. The lower centres also become supercharged, connecting us to the earth, our ancestry, and to our basic sense of safety and belonging.
At the moment of giving birth, our energy system forms an hourglass configuration; we are highly receptive to transcendental connection and available for an experience of universal consciousness - we have a wide open crown. Likewise at the base we are wide open. We are offered the opportunity to connect to the earth, the ground of being, our physical home." - The Fourth Trimester
