"Thank you for making me a midwife" card. Reaching your 40 catches is one of the biggest milestones in your midwifery training journey and I know that many student midwives like to give a card or gift to the baby and family of their 40th birth.
I designed this card specifically for you as a student midwife, to give to the family who were part of your 40th birth. Because that family did something extraordinary for you, and a card from a mainstream shop just doesn't say that.
I hand-drew the illustration of a newborn baby and third year student midwife, and had it printed with a gloss finish on the front so it feels special the moment you hand it over. The back is not glossy so you can write your personal message easily with a biro.
I've included an envelope with every card, because I wanted the mother to be able to tuck it away and read it in her own time, without feeling any pressure to respond in the moment. And if she wants to use it as a newborn photo prop, the postcard format works beautifully for that too.
